ALEX TROCHUT
ELISAVA PROJECT

As part of this project, we were selected to present our work at Punto de Vista, a documentary and film festival held in Pamplona. Our project explored music from the perspective of graphic design focusing on what it means to be a melomaniac and how music shapes creative identity.

To deepen this exploration, we interviewed Alex Trochut, a renowned graphic designer and typographer known for his work with major artists such as The Rolling Stones and Katy Perry. The interview offered valuable insight into how music has influenced his career and design language.

As a tribute to Trochut, we created a large-format poster installation, measuring 2.6 meters wide by nearly 4 meters tall. The piece featured a portrait of Trochut composed entirely of his own design work, an homage to his deep connection to both music and visual expression.

The poster was exhibited at our university, where it attracted significant attention and sparked interest in Trochut’s work among attendees. It served not only as a visual tribute, but also as a way to connect viewers with his creative world through design and social media.
